Prayer

One of our church cultural values, in fact, our very first cultural value is: “pray in power.”

About Prayer

We believe that when we pray, things change.

There are 3 prayer ministries that we hold dear at Generations Church.

  1. Encouraging word prayer. After service Sundays we invite you to come forward for the laying on of hands (James 5) for blessing, healing and encouragement. You may experience prophetic words, healing or simply a much needed blessing from one of our trained prayer team members.
  2. Intercessory prayer. We are always looking for volunteers and leaders who have the spiritual gift of prayer. Perhaps you’re the type of person who wakes in the middle of the night or early morning and you find yourself burdened with an overwhelming need to pray for people, places and even international events. Maybe you keep a prayer list or you are very intentional about prayer walks; for you time seems to disappear while you enjoy the Father’s presence in prayer. Then we recommend you use this link to join the Intercessory prayer team.
  3. Inner healing or deliverance prayer. We believe that the healing ministry of Jesus is alive and active today. We also believe that all human beings face daily the triple threat of: the world, the flesh and the devil. While we do not believe that a believer can become “possessed,” we do believe all Christians face “oppression,” which may come in the form of temptation, accusation or deception. Deliverance prayer is a way to experience freedom and healing from past pains, wounds and traumas using both the forgiveness and the authority given to us by Jesus. Please use this link to sign up for a private and confidential inner healing prayer appointment.
