From Acts 6 (the appointment of the first Deacon teams) to Acts 14 (the establishment of the first elder teams), the Bible has always supported the premise of team-based leadership.

We like to say that Generations Church is “Elder led, staff run, deacon supported.” Teams… teams… teams! The unity and diversity of teams is a vital component for the local church to flourish.

And these teams are established & installed with real God-given authority. Deacons and Elders are a holy office created by God so the “sheep” (church members) can rest comfortably and feed peacefully. Like someone once said, “Government precedes peace…”

Elders, deacons, staff and all church-wide volunteers serve at the intersection of the world’s deep need and their deep gladness. We will always do our best to outline the needs of our community-locally and globally.
